Our Metro Shutter is an imported shutter made from the Paulownia tree – a hardwood, fine straight-grained, light in weight yet it is strong. It does not warp, crack or deform easily. Wood of this tree is not affected by humidity or moisture and has a natural resistance to termites and other pests. used historically in China for musical instruments due to it’s stability. Paulownia is the fastest-growing hardwood, easy to work with and suitable for the manufacture of furniture, doors, footwear, musical instruments, surfboards.

Our Estate Shutter is a budget friendly shutter beautifully crafted from managed growth Basswood. A lightweight timber, which is also resistant to bowing and warping when kiln dried. Basswood is a hardwood and comes for the Linden tree family. Available in 10 standard colours and 6 stains.
